Add a Favorite accounts feature
Could you please add the ability to favorite some accounts so that they can optionally appear above the rest of the accounts / account groups? I have 6 of my most recently used accounts set as Starred in YNAB and like the quick access without having to scroll between checking/savings and credit card account groups.I still like the idea of keeping checking and savings accounts in a Cash group and then credit cards in a Credit Cards group.

Will the new favorite accounts also be able to be displayed in the left hand navigation account list under a Favorite heading above their regular position in budget, credit, or tracking accounts? That is what I was really hoping to see with Favorite accounts.
With Favorite accounts is there an area to also customize the sort order? Right now it appears to be alphabetic by account name. Would like to be able to put two checking accounts from different banks above credit cards but the A-Z sort isn’t doing that. Thank you.

Hi,
No plans to do any of that for now. Order of the side bar can be changed manually and groups can be used for that.

Understood, I’ll submit a new feature request for that. Not urgent by any means, would be nice to have someday. I do use groups in my 10 budget accounts already and my idea is being able to bring a 3 of the 8 credit cards together at the very top with 3 checking/savings accounts so that there would be the 6 favorite accounts at the very top.
Thankfully the compact sidebar does help fit most of my accounts on the screen without scrolling on a 14” MacBook.

The order of the favorite accounts in the add transactions screen isn’t respecting the sidebar order though. Would it be possible to change that so Favorites uses the groups first before however its sorting? I’d like my Favorite accounts to be the 3 from budget first then the 3 from credit cards so:
Fidelity Checking Joint
Fidelity Savings Joint
MSGCU Checking
Fidelity Joint Visa
Mike Prime Visa
Mike Verizon Visa

As explained before, favorite just marks them as favorite and they appear first in all payee dropdowns by alphabetical order. It’s not, in any shape, related to the sidebar.
